Some pieces remind us not only of where we’ve been, but of everything we might still become.
An authentic vintage brass medal, takes centre stage on this one of a kind pendant necklace. Awarded during Youth Week in Chester, England in 1951, this richly detailed aged brass medal bears its original engraving on the reverse. A small, tangible piece of someone else's history that has survived more than seven decades.
Suspended from a rustic, artisan crafted, solid bronze bail and then hung onto a modern ring, that clasps at the front, bringing together old and new in that wonderfully unexpected way I love.
There is something so special, about a medal once created to celebrate youth and all their achievements, now finding a new purpose all these years later.
Perhaps youth was never simply about age.
Perhaps, it is the part of us that remains curious, hopeful, willing to change, and willing to start something new.
Still Becoming.
A reminder that no matter how many years we carry, our story is never quite finished.
