This beautifully detailed antique sterling silver medal, has been lovingly repurposed a stunning pendant. Depicting the horseman, St. George, on a gallant stallion, trampling a shield and skull and crossbones. It is engraved above with the dates, 1914-1918.
This authentic World War 1 medal, known as the British War Medal, was awarded in 1919 to officers, men and women of British and Imperial forces for service in the first world war.
I have added vintage, smoky lilac beads and rich pewter grey chain with a hammered texture. Wear this wonderful piece of history, from over a century ago.
The medal has the recipients name, rank, service number and unit engraved along the rim.
